December 14th | Christmas Stroll | Town Center

Big Sky’s streets will come alive for a wonderful evening filled with holiday cheer! Enjoy family-friendly events, entertainment, and more!

 

December 21st | Skate with Santa | Town Center Ice Rink

Join the Big Sky Community Organization and Big Sky Skating and Hockey Association for a fun-filled holiday event on ice!

December 21st | Winter Soulstice Party | Big Sky Resort

Celebrate the first full day of winter in soulful style! There will be music, drink specials, and more!

 

December 31st | New Year's Eve Celebration | Big Sky Resort

Ring in the new year right with a family-friendly evening at the Big Sky Resort! The party will end with one of the best firework in the area! Looking for a quieter evening? Take part in a five-course culinary experience at Peaks. Space is limited to make your reservation today!

 

December 24th | Torchlight Parade | Big Sky Resort

Celebrate this annual tradition on the slopes with a torchlight parade, skiing Santa Claus, and fireworks. Family-friendly and free!

 

December 28th | Mike Super | Warren Miller Performing Arts Center

Four-time Grammy winning ensemble Eighth Blackbird brings their vibrant, cutting-edge take on what classical music can be to the Warren Miller Stage.

 

January 11th | The Five Browns | Warren Miller Performing Arts Center

These five siblings bring a fresh energy to the classical genre. The New York Post has proclaimed: “One family, five pianos and 50 fingers add up to the biggest classical music sensation in years…When these kids do Rachmaninoff, they’ll make you forget about Marshall amps.”

 

January 18th | Mo Amer | Warren Miller Performing Arts Center

Mo’s humor consists of observational comedy, political satire, and race related material, heavily drawing on autobiographical elements, as well as his unique improvised, conversational style.

 

February 8th | THE PEKING ACROBATS | Warren Miller Performing Arts Center

For the last thirtythree years, THE PEKING ACROBATS® have redefined audience perceptions of Chinese acrobatics. They perform daring maneuvers atop a precarious pagoda of chairs and display their technical prowess at such arts as trick-cycling, precision tumbling, juggling, somersaulting, and gymnastics.


February 9th | Snow Full Moon | Big Sky Community Park

Meet with friends, family, and the Big Sky Community Organization at the yurt warming hut for self-guided nordic skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking and hiking. Hot cocoa and apple cider will help warm you up before journeying out onto the trail under the full moon.

 

February 22nd & 23rd | James Sewell Ballet | Warren Miller Performing Arts Center

Their 7th winter season in Big Sky focuses on traditional groundings in classical ballet and opera with James’ typical modern twist to bring these forms together and into the 21st Century.

 

February 22nd | USASA Slopestyle and Rail Jam | Big Sky Resort

United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association (USASA) is returning in 2020 to host a Rail Jam & Slopestyle in the Swifty Terrain Park and Swifty 2.0 Terrain Park. Come up to cheer these competitors on!

 

February 24th | Special Olympics of Montana | Big Sky Resort

Join Special Olympics Montana at Big Sky Resort for the Big Sky Area Winter Games. Spectators are invited to come out and cheer on the athletes. Family-friendly and free to spectate.

 

March 7th | Snowshoe Shuffle | Big Sky Resort

Bring your four-legged, furry friends to the Madison Base Area and help raise money for Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter.

 

March 7th | Aquila Theatre: 1984 | Warren Miller Performing Arts Center

In the throes of unprecedented challenges to privacy, truth, and personal expression, Aquila Theatre brings 1984, George Orwell’s cautionary novel, to the stage for the 19-20 season.

 

March 14th | Shedhorn Skimo | Big Sky Resort

This annual event consists of two, technical races that showcase mountaineering, skiing, and endurance skill sets of participants. The races will incorporate one or two summits of Lone Peak and one summit of Three Forks. Flags will mark the
courses. Please note uphill traffic will be in use on the Middle Road, Duck Walk, Liberty Bowl, A-Z’s and Stillwater Road.

 

March 14th | Lightwire Theatre Presents: Dino-Light | Warren Miller Performing Arts Center

This group combines theater and technology to bring stories to life in complete darkness and are internationally recognized for their signature brand of electroluminescent artistry.

 

March 28th | Ski for MS | Big Sky Resort

Open to all ages and abilities, participate in amateur ski races, Superstarski down, costume contest, and a bomber après party with music, drinks, and prizes! 100% of donations and registration fees go directly towards programs for those living with MS.

 

March 28th | Jitro: The Czech Girls' Choir | Warren Miller Performing Arts Center

Jitro is today seen as one of the best children’s choirs anywhere in the world. Many golden awards have been bestowed on the choir by international juries and they are here in Big Sky to share their tonalbrilliance, superb intonation, distinctive rich blend of sound and energetic vitality.

 

April 10th - 12th | Big Sky Big Grass Festival | Big Sky Resort

This music festival will include a mix of small-stage and large-venue shows at the Montana Jack, Chet’s Bar & Grill, Carabiner and the Missouri Ballroom. Spend the day on the slopes before spending the evening on the dance floor. Check
