Choose from double black diamonds, like the Big Couloir (beacon required), or effortless runs off the Swifty chairlift; Big Sky offers something for everyone! If groomed trails aren't your cup of tea, backcountry skiing is accessible throughout the area as well.
If staying on flat ground is more your speed, Big Sky offers some of the best cross country skiing in the lower 48. Lone Mountain Ranch offers over 50 miles of professionally groomed scenic and diverse trails for both classic and skate skiing.

Big Sky Skating and Hockey Association (BSSHA) is a non-profit organization in Big Sky, MT dedicated to bringing hockey, ice skating and programs to the Big Sky community. The Big Sky Ice Rink is located outdoors in front of Center Stage in Town Center Park . Don’t worry; if you need to rent some skates, Big Sky has you covered with rentals right at the rink.
